Ozone depletion and enhanced greenhouse effect have been both a challenge to humanity since the start of the industrial revolution. Though both are a problem, they have different cause and effect to humans, animals, and the Earth in general. Ozone depletion is a different problem but is also the effect of the enhanced greenhouse effect.
The greenhouse effect is a natural process where light from the sun passes through the Earth’s atmosphere to give warmth to the surface. But since the industrial revolution, the CO2 content in the atmosphere increases removing the important gases that trap the sun’s heat that result in infrared radiation. Due to this, the ozone layer depletes and more harmful radiation reaches the surface of the Earth.
There are many environmental problems that the world is facing right now. Ozone depletion and greenhouse effect are just two of the environmental issues that should be addressed soon. Ozone depletion is something that has occurred in the environment because of the many things that humans have done over the past decades.
The products that people have used made the ozone layer thinner than it used to be. This has lead to the sun’s rays reaching the earth more strongly now as compared to before. The greenhouse effect has occurred due to the fact many chemicals can be found in the environment now that causes heat to stay longer within the atmosphere which will eventually lead to the cooling of the stratosphere.
