Muscles are tissues that emerge from the mesodermal layer of germ cells. The three types of muscles are as mentioned: Smooth muscle, skeletal muscle, and cardiac muscle. Skeletal muscles and smooth muscles have different functions, regulations, contractions, structures, and excitation (contraction coupling). Smooth muscles are varieties of a single unit: all the muscle either relaxes or contracts. These two muscles are essential for both the survival, just as the movement of an organism.
The health or well-being of an organism or individual can be significantly affected if there is any weakening in muscle functionality and mass while the skeletal muscles are striated form, the smooth muscles not having a striated way. Skeletal muscles and smooth muscles are voluntary muscles and involuntary muscles, respectively. Skeletal muscles are controlled consciously, but smooth muscles are not consciously controlled. Smooth muscles are found in uterus, stomach and other internal organs, while the skeletal muscles are located in the moveable part of the muscles, the biceps of the arm and also the chest.
