Adhesives are essential materials in human lives. There are several types of adhesives. Adhesives can be strong, mild, or weak. The two most durable adhesives are super glue and epoxy. The two most common types of super glues are Ethyl 2-cyanoacrylate and Methyl 2-cyanoacrylate. Epoxy can also be referred to as polyepoxide. This is primarily a thermosetting polymer made through a manual reaction of a hardener and a resin, and the hardener is a polyamine, while the adhesive is an epoxide.
Super glue happens to be a liquid that is thin and transparent, while the epoxy is a gel-like agent, and it is hard. Super glue, being a single compound, can be used directly; while the epoxy is applied through the combination of hardener and resin according to the ratio that pleases the user. Super glue has a low shearing strength, and it sets quickly, but epoxy has a high shearing strength and sets slowly.
