Kana and Kanji are used to write Japanese words and particles using characters that represent syllables. Kana and Kanji look alike since kana are derived from Kanji. However, the two Japanese scripts still differ in some ways. Kana is Japanese scripts which are used to write Japanese words. It consists of hiragana and katakana syllabaries. Kanji, on the other hand, is a list of Chinese characters which are used in the Japanese language. The first difference is that kana is a list of characters that belong to the Japanese language, while Kanji are syllabic characters from the Chinese Language.
Kanji is too complex to understand because there over two thousand known syllabic characters that belong to Kanji. Like I said before, some syllabic characters in kana are gotten from Kanji. To fully understand Kanji, you must be ready to know the meaning, the right pronunciation of those characters and how they are used to form words.
