Mitsubishi Evo (which stands for evolution) is one of the most popular releases of the Mitsubishi company. This is of a very high-performance version which its first edition was released in the year 1992. Now, the GSR and MR are different models from the Mitsubishi Evo brand. They have few differences in their exterior and internal features. Let's compare these two models. The Mitsubishi Evo GSR was part of the first generation (that is the Evolution 1 group) of these models that were released; while the Mitsubishi Evo MR belongs to the eight generations (that is the Evolution 8 group) of the Evo models.

The cars of the Evolution 1 group, which include the GSR were released between October 1992 and January 1994. They have 5-speed manual engines. While the Evolution 8 group cars of which the MR belongs were produced from January 2003 up to March 2005. They have 6-speed manual engines.
