This technique is often used when the goals have unknown deadlines. Then there is the CPM technique which stands for the Critical Path Method. When the project for a project manager takes place over and over again, then the CPM technique should be used. CPM is considered to be a deterministic model, and the probabilistic model is used by the PERT technique.
