What is the difference between EHR and EMR?

In the health care field, there are ways to document the information taken about each patient during their visit to the doctor. They are the EHR which stands for the electronic health record and the EMR which stands for the electronic medical record. One of the main differences between electronic health records and electronic medical records is that electronic health records are actual records that contain information.

However, electronic medical records are records that are viewed as a chart. Also, electronic health records are meant to be shared with the clients and other doctors based on how it is arranged. The electronic medical records are not to be shared. They are only to be used within the practice.
