Whenever you need to organize data because you have a lot of data and need to have access to specific pieces of data, you should enter them into some database. However, there are two types of databases. There is a regular database, and then there is something called an LDAP. This stands for the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol.
Directory services are involved with the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol. Data can be modified in the LDAP, and it is an application type of system. Databases collect the data, and sometimes you can sort the data within the database. Also, clients can use the LDAP through sessions while databases are usually only accessed through those people who are allowed access to it.
