In mediation, a neutral or impartial party facilitates dialogue in the multi-staged process. A mediator does not judge, instead becomes an active driver during the negotiation between the parties. Conciliation is an alternative out-of-court dispute resolution instrument. The parties are free to select their conciliator. A conciliator does not have to have a specific professional background.
