In augmented reality, the user connects with the real world, and they never lose touch with the real, physical world. Virtual reality is the computer-generated simulation world that presents the user with a fully immersed recreation of the environment. It emerges with the user inside a fictional world with no reference to the actual world. Virtual reality places it as the use of computer technology to immerse the user in a simulated environment.
