What is the difference between Brackets and Parentheses?

Parentheses refer to round brackets. Brackets indicate to square brackets. Usually, square brackets are used in technical manuals. Round brackets are used in a similar way to commas when we want to add in further explanation. Parentheses are encountered in written language.

It is used in between a sentence without a period and without using capital letters. Brackets are used instead of parentheses when information that is provided is essential to make out the appropriate meaning of the sentence. The use of brackets eliminates any confusion from the reader’s mind.
