What is the difference between Fact and Truth?

Truth is a subjective matter, and the fact is objective. Truth is what someone believes to be the truth, and a fact is what has been proven. Generally, facts are available for everyone to see, hear, and feel. Facts are universal truths that cannot be disputed. Truth is usually more personal.

Someone could have an entirely different truth from someone else. It tends to depend upon someone's view in life or their beliefs. The truth might not be permanent the way that a fact is stable, and the truth can change constantly.

Based on the concept of fact and opinion, a fact can best be described as something that can be proven true. Everyone accepts the truth. Therefore, facts are researched and then accepted, whereas the truth is already accepted and it does not have to be looked up to determine if that is accurate.

Sometimes, facts are derived from conclusions that someone draws based on the research that they did to prove something. However, the truth is not based on conclusions. For a truth to be real, it must be witnessed by someone. Some facts are not believed around the world whereas the truth is believed by everyone. Statistics could be considered facts, but they would not be apart of the truth.
