Sea Breeze is formed at daytime in the water. The differences in the temperatures of land and water cause several changes to the densities of air above them. The resulting low pressure then causes alternating air movements which are manifested as breezes.

People at coastlines experience cool sea breezes during the day and warm land breezes at night. The cooling of the air over land commonly occurs within a more shallow layer at night; the land breeze is shallow compared to the sea breeze. Sea breezes typically happen in the summer, while land breezes are most common in autumn and winter due to cooler nights.

When studying science, you may notice that you are studying and learning about the winds that occur on earth. However, there are two different kinds of winds. There are land breezes and sea breezes. Their meanings of these terms may be quite obvious. The land breezes occur on land and the sea breezes occur over the ocean. That is the most obvious difference. However, there are other differences in the time when these breezes are formed.

The land breezes take place at night whereas the sea breezes take place during the day. They also take place during different seasons. The land breezes are often felt in the fall and winter and the sea breezes are often felt in the summer and spring.
