What is the difference between Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot?

There are a lot of people who consider themselves to be great wine drinkers. They have the ability to taste the difference between the various types of wine. There are also some who are so good that they can determine the year of the wine that they are drinking. Cabernet Sauvignon is known to be one of the richest wines that you can taste. Some may say that it is stronger than the other types that they have tasted.

The Merlot is considered to be fruitier and even sweeter. Take note that one similarity between the two is that they are both considered to be “dry” wines but other than that, they have certain differences with their taste that would make one more preferred over the other.
