Juneteenth is known to be the commemoration of the time when slavery was finally ended in the United States. The original event happened back on June 19, 1865. This was not a national holiday in the beginning but started to become taken seriously in the year 80s. Can you still imagine what would happen if slavery still exists? Actually, in certain parts of the world, this is still being practiced.
Hopefully, those who are being enslaved will have the ability to become free. Take note that not all states in America celebrate Juneteenth. There are only five states in America that do not recognize this as a national holiday. All the others celebrate it whenever they can.
