If there is something that people should remember, it is to make sure that the flag of any country will be treated with respect. How are you supposed to hold the American flag when you just want to show respect for it. Touching the American flag is considered disrespectful unless it is being held the correct way. Sometimes, the flag would need to be held to make sure that it will not touch the ground, the floor, or any other surface or item.

It is also not ideal for the American flag to get wet, which explains why flags are usually removed from the flag poles when it is evident that the weather is going to be wrong.
