The true meaning of Flag Day every June 14th is to commemorate the freedom of the United States of America. By raising a flag publicly or putting an American flag outside your home or on your car freely, without people judging you and putting you in jail. The essence of Flag Day is the freedom of the people in the United States from invaders or colonizers that Americans are free to put up their nation’s flag.

Flag Day also serves as a reaffirmation to its citizens that they are living in a free country; thus, it should be reminded to be loyal to the nation and united with the people. It is not always about participating in parades but to be able to recognize the essence of raising the American flag freely.
