Hoarding refers to a process whereby someone keeps a particular item or items for a particular purpose. There are several purposes why people hoard; nevertheless, hoarding is usually done for future purposes. Some hoard items or goods that are forecast to be more scarce and expensive in the nearer future so that they can keep it for their own use or to sell at a higher price. Some hoard as a result of a disaster occurring so that they can prepare for the time of scarcity during or shortly after the disaster.
However, laziness, likewise hoarding, keeps the house messy. But, on the other hand, laziness is a behavior that ignores responsibility, though there is the capability to take on the responsibility. Laziness seems to stay longer on the possessor, if not through a lifetime, unlike hoarding, which is just for a while. Hoarding is for a purpose, while laziness is purposeless. Laziness is unhealthy to the possessor, while hoarding can be of benefit to the hoarder.
