Myths and Folk Tales are not totally the same but they are somehow related. So many of us have encountered being told one story or the other about past events pertaining to the creation of the world, supernatural things that had happened in the past and many others. While some of those things contain some elements of truth, there are some that are just mere fallacies. Myths by definition, are traditional stories which embody beliefs regarding some fact or phenomenon of experience, and in which often the forces of nature and a sacred narrative regarding a god, a hero, the origin of the world or of a people.
Myths tell stories about some past occurrences and which have influenced a lot of people in terms of their beliefs about some phenomenon. Most times, not all myths are true, some have been remade for many reasons unknown. Folk tales, on the other hand, are tales or stories that have been passed from older generations to the succeeding ones majorly by oral means of disseminating messages. Those tales are not always real because the truth in most of them would have been manipulated overtime.
