Since this is a relatively new disorder, there are very few empirically proven treatments.
However, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy in combination with drug therapy can not be considered promising treatment modalities; there is no cure for nomophobia; instead, medications are prescribed to help with social phobia.

Although the terms “fear” and “phobia” are similar in meaning, they have some notable differences. Fear is defined as an unpleasant emotional response to the threat of danger, harm, or pain. This makes people avoid doing certain things due to the possible consequence they may experience.
Phobia is defined as an extreme or irrational fear for a specific object, class, or object or situation. Phobia is termed a type of anxiety disorder. When a person has phobia for something, they experience severe anxiety that may interfere with their quality of life. Hope you find this helpful.
Some may assume that phobia and fear are the same but they have some slight differences. Fear is the feeling of not wanting to do something because of the possible consequences of because of the unknown. When people feel fear, they would need to be coaxed in order to continue doing the actions. Those who have phobia would have a stronger sense of fear.
Their phobia would stop them from doing certain things in life because of their fear. Some of the phobias are related to the things that people may see every day such as enclosed spaces or even traveling. Some are scared of nuns and clowns. They usually cannot explain the type of fear that they are feeling aside from explaining that they are very scared.
