What is the difference between Epee and Foil?

It can be confusing for some people to know the difference between epee and foil, but these two are used by those who do fencing. At first glance, they may look similar to each other, but they have other differences that are worth taking note. The epee comes with a triangular blade, and it is also slightly heavier as compared to the foil.

The maximum weight of the epee is 770 grams. There are some fencers that make use of epee blades that are much lighter because they feel that this is easier to use. The different fencers will always have preferences regarding which one they would like to use more.
