E-Business and e-commerce are terms often used interchangeably because many people do not know the difference. E-Business refers to all type of businesses done online. E-Business is not limited to commercial transactions; it also takes service delivery into account. It simply means running a business On the other hand, e-commerce refers to the act of buying and selling products on the internet.

It merely means trading merchandise through the internet. In business to consumer e-commerce, businesses sell their products to consumers through a website. Business to business e-commerce refers to transactions between two businesses.

A lot of people use the terms e-business and e-commerce interchangeably but it should be remembered that these two are not the same. E-commerce is the process wherein you can buy and sell different items online. E-business refers to all types of business dealings that you can do when you are online.

For example, you are promoting your services as a good writer. This means that you are doing e-business because this is our chance to earn money by offering your services. When you are selling clothes online, this is e-commerce because you are selling items that people can actually acquire from you.
