What is the difference between Wasps and Hornets?

It can be confusing to know the difference between the two but to give you an idea about their differences, you have to remember that all hornets can be considered as wasps but not all wasps can be considered as hornets.

There are some people who may say that they have found a wasp when actually, it is a hornet that they are searching for. Another difference between the two is hornets are considered to be less aggressive than wasps provided that they are not provoked in any way. It is still best to steer clear of the two if you can help it so that you will not encounter any bites and stings.
