What is the difference between a CEO and a President?

There are instances when the CEO and the president are the same people, but these roles have some differences that you should be familiar with. A CEO is the highest ranking officer of the company. This is the person who is in charge of overseeing all of the things that the rest of the company is doing.

The president is known to be the person who is second-in-charge. Do remember that this difference may sometimes be interchanged depending on the structure of the company. Some company owners choose to be the president while they assign someone who they think will be more capable of handling the company as CEO.
