Children are curious creatures. They are interested in everything they see around them. Their interest is at a peak when it is something that someone else has. For example, if my daughter sees me drinking water from a bottle, she feels she should have the bottle, especially since we are teaching sharing.
No matter how big or small the item may be, when I am carrying it in front of her, I make sure I have it secured so that she can not take it from me. I also try to have it as far away from her as I can so she can not have access to it, since she is only 7 months old.
