Pentecost is a word that is often used in Christianity or Judaism. Both of these religions celebrate the same religion of Pentecost. The word Pentecost is from Greece. It has Greek roots. It actually means 50th which is appropriate. It is celebrated 50 days or about 7 weeks after Easter. That is where the number 50 comes into Pentecost.
Sometimes, people will celebrate the Feast of the Weeks which represents the 7 weeks after Easter or the Feast of the 50 which represents the 50 days. Many churches will celebrate Pentecost and many Christians have probably heard of Pentecost, but many Christians and Jews probably don’t celebrate it as much as the other holidays. However, the church may be decorated in red and white.
