In 2019, air pollution was the theme of World Environment Day. Air pollution is now responsible for an astounding death count. There have been around seven million premature deaths every year, according to the World Health Organization.
Over 90 percent of the world’s populace is exposed to dangerous levels of air pollution daily. It can also worsen respiratory conditions as well. Air pollution has been associated with global warming, which means that future generations will inevitably suffer. There are a surplus of ways to take part in World Environment Day.
These include installing a more efficient stove in the house, switch to cleaner fuels when cooking at home. Try using public transportation, ride a bike or walk instead of drive, purchase an electric or hybrid car instead of driving something that adds more pollution to the environment, and eat a plant-based food that is healthier for you and better for the environment.
