I do have a favorite stuffed toy, but it is not a teddy bear. It is a rabbit called Missy. I remember that I brought Missy with me to a birthday party of my cousin’s and I left it behind. I was so sad that my uncle brought back the stuffed rabbit after a couple of days.
I held Missy until such time when she was already falling apart, and when she finally started to lose her fillings, I decided that I would need her to retire. I keep her in a box somewhere inside my home, and I know that if I have to fix my things and I see her, I would recognize her.
I do not have my childhood teddy bear because I did not have a teddy bear when I was little. Usually, teddy bears are given to children to play with and to make them feel secure. However, there have been other items that are used for the same purpose. It seems that others are giving dolls and other things to children today instead of teddy bears. However, they serve the same purpose.
The children will play with these dolls and things and they think that they will keep them safe. Instead of a teddy bear, I had a Mickey Mouse stuffed animal and that item kept me company. I believe I still have that stuffed animal, but it is at my mom’s house.
