These two types of the motherboard are usually compared with each other. The ITX is better known as mini-ITX while the ATX is called the micro-ITX. Any of these two will be good for your computer. ITX and ATX are the two common types of motherboard. They are also known as mini-ITX and micro-ATX. The types of motherboard for needed for the smooth operation of the computer. There are full size ATX motherboards and ITX motherboards, as well as, mini-ITX and micro-ATX. Computer devices smaller than laptop make use of mini-ITX and micro-ATX motherboards, while full size ATX and ITX motherboards are used for computer devices larger than laptop.

Mini-ITX and micro-ATX are used in electronics like sound system, video recorders, tablets and smartphones. However, there are some differences between ATX and ITX. The first difference is that, micro-ATX is significantly bigger than mini-ITX. Micro-ATX can hold a number of features like processor, storage, clock generator, expansion cards, power connectors, and memory, while mini-ITX can only hold little features. Standard, maximum and minimum are the important sizes of micro-ATX, while mini-ITX has just one size.
