The present Huawei and Honor branded cell phones will continue to have access to services as well as security from Google Play Protect. Users will be able to update apps such as Gmail and Youtube through the Play Store.
Sending out software updates to its devices poses a possible risk of removing Google apps from it’s existing devices as well. Google and the majority of its services are already barred; however, rumors are circulating that Huawei may introduce its own operating system.
It already has a back-up plan should it be forced to give up Android.
It is no longer news that the current trade war between China and the United States of America is actually what led to the ban of Huawei in the United States. While this is actually a negative development, especially for Huawei users all across the globe, the good news is that users will still be able to enjoy the various phones and laptops from Huawei.
It will interest you to know that new android phones and laptops are still in the market for users to buy. The issue here is that already existing phones will operate in a different way, and the newly released phones from Huawei will not have some features.
For instance, newly released phones like Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro do not come with Google apps, though they have Android 10 as the operating system. Already existing phones before the ban will still be getting security updates from Google.
