The word conservation and preservation may appear to be the same thing, but they are different and also used in different content; they are common terms people used to protect the environment.

Conservation is the suitable use of natural resources; our natural resources include water, air, mineral resources, and wildlife. Natural resources are classified as renewable and non-renewable resources.

Conservation of natural resources helps us to wisely utilize our resources in a manner that they are always available.

Preservation means maintaining the state of something; preservation helps to keep all our natural resources in a pristine state. Preservation is done in an environment that is already damaged.

Preservation and conservation are two words you will think are talking about the same thing but in the real sense of what they actually mean they are not the same. There are some differences between them. First of all, preservation simply means the act of preserving or maintaining something so as to prevent it from destruction, decay or any form of ill. The perfect examples of things we preserve are different kinds of natural resources that are around us.

Preservation and conservation are two words you will think are talking about the same thing but in
We preserve them so that they can continue to be of good use without contamination. For example, water bodies that are meant for human use need to be preserved so that they can continue to be at their good state. Conservation, on the other hand, is the wise use of natural resources to sustain humans needs. There are two categories of natural resources, we have ones that are renewable and those that are non-renewable. Conservation of both renewable and non-renewable natural resources will ensure and prevent wastage of those resources.
