More often than not, the reason why people are moving close to us is because of a particular way of life or conduct which we have imbibed, whether consciously or unconsciously overtime. The character of a person, whether good or bad, can be determined through various behaviors and habits he/she is exhibiting. Although habits and behaviors might be working hand in hand in defining or revealing a person's character and identity, they are not totally the same.

Habits can be defined as the series of actions which are performed repeatedly until they become automatic. Most times, things that will engage ourselves in on a daily basis can turn to habits. Some habits are formed through conscious learning, while some are being built in us unconsciously. Behavior, on the other hand, simply means the way a living creature acts or behaves. Behavior means human conducts relative to his environment and surrounding. Many a time, our behaviors are formed and greatly influenced by the environment and things in it.

We describe someone by the habits and behaviors they possess. These habits and behaviors tell more about a person’s character, identity, or abilities. These two are essential in the attribute of a person because it says more on the type of person he is, whether he’s of a good character or has a bad identity. These two seems to have the same meaning, but there is a big difference between them. Habit is what has become part and parcel of someone; that is what that person repeatedly does.

Habit can be as a result of adapting to the environment one finds himself and can change any moment the environs change (what you do unconsciously to suit your living) while the behavior is your reaction to the system in response to the impulse around. It is an output of individuals towards his environment. In general words, the behavior is the way one acts around others or the way one presents themselves. It is an unchanging characteristic a person has.
