The scientific method has been around since the 17th century. It is a procedure of science, which has seven steps in total. The first step is to have a question you want to be answered. The next step is to research about the question at hand, which involves figuring out what is already known and what still needs to be answered.
The third step is to create a hypothesis, which is to make an educated guess in regards to the outcome that may come in the end. The fourth step is to experiment, which involves testing the hypothesis.
From there, observation needs to occur, which is observing all data that has been collected during the experiment. The sixth step is to make a conclusion, which makes a result whether the hypothesis was correct or not. Lastly, the person performing the experiment must share what they found.
