Plants can be defined as multicellular organisms that use photosynthesis to make their food. All plant belongs to kingdom Plantae. The study of plants is called botany. Most of the world's oxygen is produced by the plant, and they are also important in the food chain.
There are different characteristics of the plant, but here are a few of them:
1. Plants are autotrophs; they use photosynthesis to produce their food.
2. Plants are multicellular organisms with eukaryotic cells. Plant cells have some unique structures like cell walls containing cellulose, chloroplast for photosynthesis, and also a large central vacuole that holds water.
3. Plants have vascular tissue, like xylem and phloem, that carrier’s water and nutrients around the whole plant.
4. The mode of reproduction can be sexual or asexual.
