All protists shared some characteristics between them. This simply means that they some things in common, especially in their features. I will be listing four shared characteristics that are very valid.
These common characteristics are:
1. They are typically eukaryotic, and this means that they have a nucleus.
2. Most of the protists are mitochondria.
3. These protists can be parasites.
4. Relatively all of them have preference moist environments or aquatic.
There are actually different classifications of protists, which are basically divided into three major groups. The first one is the animal-like protists. They are heterotrophs, and can also move from one place to another.
The second is the plant-like protists. These are autotrophs, and they carry out the photosynthesis process. The third and last on the list here are the fungi-like protists. They are recognized as heterotrophs, and they reproduce by forming spores. Their cells are with cell walls.
