The difference between Aikido and Pencak Silat is beyond the fact that they are martial arts because the two forms of martial arts are not practiced in the same country. Aikido martial art is practiced in Japan, while Pencak Silat is practiced in Indonesia. The two martial arts can be seen as another dimension of entertainment. Aikido uses what seems like choreography style and dance steps to throw an opponent or attacker.

A lot of religious beliefs and philosophy are embedded in Aikido. While in Pencak Silat, you must be skillful before you can practice the art, that's why it is called skillful fighting and the art is based on the use of weapons. Pencak Silat is considered to be a little bit dangerous form of martial art because it is a weapons-based art. This art is a bit special because most of its styles and techniques are from Chinese and Indian arts.
