There are many differences between cotton and linen. Cotton and linen are used for a lot of things especially fabrics. Everybody knows cotton is gotten from cotton trees while linen is gotten from flax trees. But other differences will also be discussed. Linen is a natural fiber with transparent tubes and you will always see it with marked lines, while cotton is also a natural fiber with transparent tubes but the tubes can either in a straight or twisted form.
Cotton is not as strong as linen, when you touch linen, that is when you would know how strong it is. Linen has a weight higher than cotton. Another difference is that, linen has been tested to be a flammable product, it can easily ignite, while cotton does not ignite very readily. The smoothness of the two cannot be compared, linen is smoother than cotton. However, one advantage of cotton over linen is that, linen decays very easily than cotton.
