Hoodoo and Voodoo are among the most practiced religions on earth. The two religions share similar roots and elements in Africa and most of African's traditions are shared including the ways they worship their gods. They also share some similarities with some of the European religions. However, the difference between the two types of religions is about their way of worshiping their gods, plus Voodoo is still an existing religion while hoodoo is considered to be losing its popularity.
Another thing is that, Voodoo is considered to be an organized institution with leaders who offer periodical teaching about the practices of the religion and how rituals are made, while Hoodoo is not as organized as Voodoo religion because it does not really have foundation that is strong enough to impact its practitioners the right religion practice. Voodoo performs rituals by invoking power on African deities and gods, while Hoodoo performs rituals by invoking power of loas on catholic saint.
