There are some people who are not too familiar with Symbian but this is a type of OS that has become connected to Nokia phones. This OS is a bit old which explains why people are more familiar with the newer Android OS. Symbian is already discontinued right now while Android is still being used by different smartphones that are being sold all over the world.

Symbian used to be the most popular mobile operating system. It was the most popular till around the end of 2010 when the Android operating system took over. It originated from EPOC32, which is an operating system created by Psion. It was mostly used by popular smartphone brands such as Motorola, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and ultimately by Nokia.
