What is the difference between Also and As Well?

There are a lot of people who often get confused with the usage of different English words because they may seem too complicated to use at times. Also and As well can be used to indicate that you are going to include something else aside from what you have already said.

The only difference between the two is where you should place them in the sentence. There are times when you can use also in order to start a phrase or a sentence. As well is usually located at the end of the sentence. There are also some people who would rather use “too” instead of also and as well. Also is best used before a verb or an adjective.

The word “Also” and “As well” are adverbs that are used to show similarities, sameness or in addition to something. Examples: Mary ALSO came to the came and Mary came to the camp AS WELL. The main difference between these two adverbs is their placement in a sentence.

The modifier, “Also” often goes before the verb or adjective in a sentence. The modifier “As well” mostly comes towards the end of a penalty after the verb or adjective. This difference between these two adverbs can be seen in the examples given above.
