The environment and the ecosystem are two different things but some people use them interchangeably because they have assumed that these two are the same. The environment refers to a certain area or the type of setting where people live. The environment may consist of the various things that you may smell, hear, and see. The ecosystem is composed of different units of living things that may work as a whole.

There are different units that are meant to interact with each other. They have different relationships with each other that will ensure that there will be a balance in this world. The environment is the place that we live in and the ecosystem is something that we currently belong to.

An ecosystem refers to a system formed by an ecological community and its surrounding that functions as a unit. It pure refers to a group that works as a whole. It is a community where organisms and other elements found in the environment connect and interact.
