Facts are statements about anything, which have been agreed upon by a substantial number of experts. Facts are mostly products of scientific discoveries. The word fact refers to something real, actual as opposed to invented.
Myths are simply traditional stories about some phenomenon of experience, which many people believe to be true. In other words, myths are false facts. The main difference between myths and facts is that myths do not have a scientific backup, while facts always have a scientific backup. It is important to note that most things we see as facts today were once seen as myths.
Facts will give you details about something, whereas myths are usually supported by stories. In other words, facts are things that can be explained, whereas myths do not really give explanations but stories. However, most things we consider as myths might later become facts in the future.
