The Glock 17 and Glock 19 are both semi-automatic pistols that use 9mm cartridges. The Glock 19 pistols are compatible with the magazines of Glock 17 but Glock 17 pistols are not compatible with Glock 19 magazines. Glock 17s has a standard magazine capacity of 17 while the Glock 19 pistols have 15. The Glock 19 is also more compact compared to the Glock 17 with its length of 174 mm (vs Glock 19 length of 186 cm).
