What is the difference between Certificate and Degree?

Many times people will go to school and receive a certificate or a degree for completion of their work. It is important for you to see what is being awarded before you pay money and spend a lot of time studying at a school. If you are being awarded a certificate, then that does not have as much significance as that of a degree.

A degree is worth more than a certificate. However, usually certificates take very little time to go through the program to receive the certificate compared to a degree. A degree can take years. Sometimes, they take two to four years or longer to receive. A certificate usually takes a few months. Certificates are usually for specific job tasks.
