Panthers and Jaguars are both large cats, that eat the same meats. The word panther can be used to describe a jaguar, but there are differences between them. Although they are both large, panthers can be slightly heavier, weighing anywhere from around 100-250 pounds, while jaguars can weigh up to 211 pounds. The length between these two cats also varies, with panthers being longer.
They can range from 7-8 feet, while jaguars can range from 5-6 feet. When it comes to appearance, panthers are normally black, while Jaguars are spotted. If a panther does has spots, it is much less visible and more difficult to see than when on a jaguar.
