Yoga is both conceptual and physical, while meditation is a purely a cerebral technique that can, but doesn't necessarily have to, incorporate physical techniques. Being conscious of breathing is a common element in yoga, but an individual can also do yoga poses without bringing consideration to their breath. Yoga is practiced for overall fitness, better posture, better health, and energy increased weight loss and stress reduction.
It can also be considered as a combination of various exercises and movements. Meditation can be a spiritual practice of concentrated focus, which would be on a particular object, such as the flame of a candle. Or it may also be a person stilling their mind to increase awareness of the present moment in time.
Yoga is known to be one of the exercises that people do when they want to become more flexible and get the exercise that they need at the same time. A lot of people who practice yoga say that they usually get benefits all year long. They usually feel calmer about the things that they are going through and they can usually think better as compared to when they do not practice yoga.
Meditation is considered to be a part of yoga. This usually focuses on the mind so that you will be able to think better. Some people who meditate usually feel that they can concentrate on their tasks better which is always a requirement for people who have difficult tasks at hand.

Yoga and meditation are both important in enhancing ones mind and body. It can connect the mind and soul together. Yoga is an activity, which combines the maintainance of mental peace and physical fitness. It is considered to be an exercise. Meditation involves no exercise or momevent. Instead, the person just sits in a place and focuses on the body's energy flow.
Meditation is normally performed after yoga. While yoga stabilizes the mind and body, meditation helps improve breathing and reduces stress and blood pressure. Most that do yoga, also perform meditations, as they go hand in hand in improving one's health and mindset.
