There is no full form of the word Book. It doesn't stand for anything. If it somehow does that's new for me.

Book is not an acronym and it does not have a full form. But when you search on the internet, chances are you would see a lot of probable suggestions from those who do not know if Book is an acronym or not. The truth is, it is easy to form something out of something based on what we perceived to be the right thing. Some will tell you Book is an acronym which stands for Big Ocean Of Knowledge but this is obviously not true.

It is a collection of sheets of paper that are bounded together to hinge at one edge, containing printed or written material, pictures, etc. Book is one of the most common things someone can easily identify with. It is part of academic materials a student will use untill he finishes his education. A lot of historical events would have been forgotten if not because they were written in books.

The word "book" has a clear etymology. The word meaning a compilation of joined papers arrived in Olde English as 'boc' or in German as 'buch.' It has a connection with beech as beechwood tablets were used to inscribe words in earlier times.

The word
Originally the word meant any set of papers carrying the written word, or any document, but then went on to refer to papers that were joined to form a longer document. It doesn't have a full form, but you can have fun making one up. How about Best Origin Of Knowledge.
