SMS is the abbreviation for Short Message Service. SMS is something you don't have to go far before enjoying its service, you can easily see it on your mobile phones and make use of it. It is a text-messaging service that allows you to send short messages between two devices. The idea of using SMS provides you the opportunity to convey effectively information to a receiver without being charged more.
When using SMS, you don't need to be connected to the internet because it is not like those online messaging apps like whatsapp and facebook that need data connection before they can be used. What SMS requires is only a strong network so as to deliver the message in a timely manner. SMS messages are stored in the SMS center temporarily in case they are not delivered or the recipient mobile phone is unavailable. And you can also set an expiry date after which a message temporarily kept in the SMS center would be deleted.
Sms is used in the computer industry. It can stand for two critical things. Firstly, it stands for Systems Manager Server. Secondly, it can stand for Short Message Service. Either is correct. With an SMS, you can send a text message of up to 160 characters, and this is the SMS that most people know as everyone uses text messaging in present times.
Computers, mobile phones, tablets, and other devices can send and receive messages thanks to the technology which uses standardized communication protocols to affect all of this.

SMS stands for Short Messaging Service. This is a type of message that can be sent from one cell phone to another. There was a time when cellular phones were used in order to call people. After some time, SMS was introduced to people. They have started to send messages to other people who also have cellular phones.
People liked this because text messages are much cheaper as compared to cellular phone calls. As time passed by, there are more and more ways to communicate that started to be offered to people. Some people still send SMS to others but they may choose to chat or video call more.
