What does the acronym NEWS stand for?

Despite so many things you would see online about the probable full form of News, I call categorically tell you that 'News' is not an acronym and it does not stand for anything. Lately, the internet has been awashed by many claims from people who suggested what News actually stands for.

Many claimed the full form of News to be North, East, West, South and others believed that News stands for Notable Events, Weather and Sports. Those two examples should not be relied upon because News is not an acronym and it does not have full form. However, News simply means the reports of current events and new information.
