When the picture is displayed on the screen, the nurse and doctor will look at the fetus in the womb and there are certain characteristics that they are looking for that have the same characteristics as Edward’s Syndrome. This may be that they have a small jaw and overlapping fingers. However, it can be confirmed with amniocentesis which is a fluid test. The fluid is extracted and then tested for different disorders.
